Dear writers, readers, and artists, please read all the posts below to maximize your chances of publication with us. Understand our publication policies, formatting guidelines, the style guide we ask for, and knowing the upcoming issues and their deadlines will help you make an informed submission.
Submission Details:
1. Submissions must be sent as Microsoft Word attachments or email. (No fancy fonts or image files.)
2. Please make the Editor’s job easy, run a simple spelling, and formatting check via your preferred software.
3. For fiction, poetry, article, write-ups, quotes, and literature must be sent only two by each person but we don’t guarantee to publish your second article too. It depends on the quality of work.
4. Please give the document an appropriate title. Best would be <author> – <piece title>.
5. Use an appropriate email subject: “Submission: Short Fiction/Poetry: <your Instagram handle> <allotted code>”.
6. Do include a two-three line third person professional bio of yourself, in the body of the email, Along with that, Please give details about education, publications, and work information, preferably hyperlinked. (If have any)
7. All the write-ups should be in English and Hindi.
8. We are not accepting doodles, paintings, and drawings in this issue. (February Edition)
9. Last date of submission 20-Jan-2021.

12. Please attach a picture of yourself along with the submission files.
13. For short fiction, essays, and reviews, we encourage pieces which are between 200-2000 words. In case it exceeds the word limit, we are open to considering it if it is exceptionally good.
14. We accept poetry of any length.
Your submission follows all the above: format guidelines, font size, and style, word count, have a professional bio, includes information about city and country, and has your picture attached.

1. Once published and/or have notified “The Lamp Post” go ahead with publishing, the author/poet cannot withdraw/modify their submission.
2. We do not consider previously published pieces and are also not able to give feedback or provide comments on rejected pieces.
3. Due to our voluntary working model, and a zero income structure, we are unable to pay writers at this moment.
